Earth WormEven the most common organisms can be found in this biome such as the Earth Worm. This annelid averages around 7-8 centimeters, which is only a few inches. These organisms have no arms, legs, or eyes, so they are completely dependent on their bodies to get them the nutrients they need, along with other basic necessities. In order to make a sufficient shelter, the worm burrows into the ground. To aid this process, the worm secretes a slimy substance onto its outer body, in order to lessen the effect of friction and resistance while digging. These organisms get their nutrients through their bodies from the soil they choose to dig in, it usually being rich in such nutrients.
